Your ruler measurements, guide positions, and calibration values stay in your browser. Online Ruler does not send those measurement values to its own servers.
Client-Side Measurement
All measurement calculations, unit conversions, guide positions, and calibration mathematics run inside your web browser. No measurement dimensions or camera images are sent to an external server or API by the ruler tool.
Local Storage Usage
We store preferences such as your selected unit, theme, guide positions, and screen calibration value in your browser's localStorage so your settings can persist across visits. You can clear this data at any time by resetting the tool or clearing browser site storage.
Website Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to collect standard website-usage information such as page views and technical visit data. It is separate from the ruler's measurement and calibration state, which remains local to your browser.
Advertising & Cookies
The site includes Google AdSense integration. Ad serving is subject to Google's approval, publisher policies, and applicable user or regional settings. When ads are served, Google and third-party advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, frequency capping, and personalization according to their policies and your settings.
You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
The ruler itself does not upload or share your physical screen measurements or calibration values.
